Frank William Abagnale Jr. is an airline pilot, a physician, a lawyer, and a doctor. Except that he ISN’T. Confused? Well, Frank (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) was actually a brilliant forger and a master of deception whose skills allowed him to forge certificates that let him acquire these jobs and many more.
He also forged cheques flawlessly and was the most successful bank robber in the history of the US. Frank started doing all of this when he was only 17.
FBI agent Carl Hanratty (played by Tom Hanks) made it his life’s mission to catch Frank and bring him to justice. But no matter how hard Carl tries to capture him, Frank is always one step ahead.
This movie has a plethora of mind-blowing plot twists, but its most unbelievable one is that it’s actually based on the true story of THE YOUNGEST PERSON EVER on FBI’s 10 most wanted list.
Will Carl catch Frank? Or will Frank be able to stay on the run for the rest of his life? Or will there be a completely different ending to this story? Watch the movie to find out.
